Storage Room Operations
Vindon’s inventory management software (VIMS) provides a comprehensive management tool for your special collections storage room operations. Each procedure contains a planned start date including the date and time the collection went on store, collection moves and loans/returns.
The VIMS system stores the precise location of each sample of the collection at every condition - identifying the room reference, bay reference, shelf reference, unique box/sample. All activities such as residency, removals, moves, relocations and returns are recorded with the individuals ID, the precise time, date and action.
Reporting
The VIMS system provides standard reports that include the procedures for collection status, placement and return lists in addition to all our summary reports - and is the most comprehensive software barcoding system for professional collections management
